To discover the collection,
choose a family

We have decided to organize machines in families. All this jewels are put together in countries, big manufacturers or standards.

US
It is well known that america is the land of micro-computing.even if the 3 bigest manufacturers have their own chapter, this section will provide information about important brand like Tandy or Texas Instruments..
Constructeurs américains
Atari
The early leader in videogames is not the inventor. Atari created many homecomputers, in 8 or 16 bits
Atarax roulaize
Commodore
Like Atari, Commodore is the other big actor of the early microcomputing scene. The well known pyramide PET is followed bys Vic 20, C64 and Amiga. One of the biggest brand.
Commodore ? J'adore.
Apple
Apple is one of the famous computer manufacturer. A visit to the garage, showing machines from 'Apple 2 to  Macintosh. Don't miss the inovative Lisa..
Apple II et Macintosh
UK
Many homecomputers come from United Kingdom. Many of this makers did not last much, but they were allways innovative and popular.
Typically brittons
France
Foreigners may not know well french computers. Despite the well known original Micral, you can find here many typical french machines.
La France
Russia & relatives
Communist  microcomputism is rare. Made of many clones; from Apple 2, Spectrum and CPC. Design is always weird, construction feels very "homebrew". Very original.
Various
Here are all the machines that didn't fit in any other categories.
Les inclassables
Stations
We have few workstations, because of the room needed. The machine are modern, but some are very interesting.
club Mammouth
MSX
Like CP/M, MSx is another standard of importance. Microsoft is still there to make homecomputer inteeroperable. Many machines were built. They can be found mostly in Japan, but also Brazil, Holland... and not in USA.
Standard MSX
IBM & compatibles
These are the funniest ones. Anyway,  IBM and some other important actors are there. Like Compaq, the clone pionneer or Goupil the french forgotten brand.
IBM PC et compatibles
CP/M
The first standard has been choosen by a wide variety of manufacturers. CP/M was born with micro-computing and died with the 8bits generation.
Le Système CP/M et tous ces rejetons
Handheld
Pocket programmables calculators, like Hewlett-Packard and Texas Instruments, the Pockets using BASIC, Sharp and Casio, have to be present in Silicium's collection. they are true computers.
Calculettes, Pockets, PDA ...
Videogames
Just for our fun, we describe many videogames machines. All important models are there.
