Thanks for testing. I have updated the table with your result.
In fact, with the help of some other forums the database includes many results meanwhile, but some important calculators are still missing. Also there is only one calculator running OPL. But I try to update the table constantly. Currently I am working on a Z80-Assembly-Version.

Canon XO7, BASIC Microsoft: 54 sec.
Wich kind of calculator bench do you need ? I also have some "big" one, like Epson PX4, HX20, PX8, Tandy Model 100, 200, Amstrad NC 100, 150, 200 and it's Nakajima clone.
Take a look here:
http://perso.orange.fr/jerome.vernet/col_pocket.html if you need result from one of these systems.

Thank you for your offer, but its a lot of work to test all not in the list. But I think that it is not necessary to test all of them.
A practical choice may be:
PB-100
PB-410
FX-850P
PB-770
FP-200
PC-1350
PC-2500
HX-20
PX-4
Z88
NC-200
I hope this is not too much work.
(Please mark the results with integer variables)
Of course, you can make your own choice, this is a suggestion only.

I have all of these "calculators", I can try. I can also add things like HP 100/200lx, Atari Portfolio (8088 systems), etc.Xerxes a écrit :Thank you for your offer, but its a lot of work to test all not in the list. But I think that it is not necessary to test all of them.

For the HP200lx, I can make the bench in BASIC, compiled BASIC, Turbo C, Turbo Pascal and assembler

@Pocket:
No problem. I can understand it. I think you have made enough with your impressive collection that I use as my pocket reference. If you are interested, I have some additional informations about the PB-2000C for your museum.
@jvernet:
An interesting suggestion. But consider that some result are redundant, e.g. Assembler on the PB-1000, PB-1000C, PB-2000C, AI-1000, FX-870P, VX-3 and VX-4 all have the very nice HD61700 CPU @ 0.91 MHz inside. So it makes not really sense to have all of them in the table. Or think of all Sharps with the SC61860 CPU inside.
I guess the result of the different languages on the HP-200LX will be informative.
Has the Portfolio a programming language in ROM?

I will try, if I have some time, to test with my bigger calculator, like Epson, Amstrad, ....

Hebdogiciel (also known as l'Hhhhhhhhhebddo) was a famous computer magazine in the earlier 80s.
It was full of listings for many popular computers.

Le frottage de silex, c'est tout sauf une innovation : avant, on attendait simplement que la foudre tombe sur un arbre et qu'elle enflamme une branche, et ça fonctionnait très bien... ©SbM

HP 200LX (Intel 8086)
QBASIC interpreted, integer: 4"
QuickBASIC compiled, integer: 4" (well, that's pretty curious....Not a famous compiler. I may try with another Basic compiler)
Turbo C: 7"40 for 100 iterations
